What we collect through this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

In plain English. We collect what you type into our forms so we can call you back about your vehicle. We don't sell it. You can ask us to delete it.

What we collect
- What you send us through a form: your name, phone number, email address, business name if you give one, the vehicle or equipment, mileage or hours, what it's doing, and when you'd like to come in.
- Whether you ticked the text message box.
- Basic technical information your browser sends to our host when it loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is standard server logging.
We don't ask for a Social Security number, a driver's licence number or payment card details through this website, and you shouldn't send them to us by email.
Why we collect it
To call you back, to schedule your appointment, to diagnose and repair your vehicle, to keep a service history, to meet our record-keeping obligations as a California repair facility, and, if you opted in, to send you service reminders and offers.
Who it goes to
We don't sell your personal information and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising. It reaches our service providers only to the extent they need it to work for us:
- Web3Forms processes our form submissions and delivers them to our inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this website.
- Google serves the map embedded on our location section, and may set cookies when that map loads.
- Our email provider, and the shop software we use to write estimates and invoices.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
Text messages
If you tick the consent box, you agree to receive marketing texts from Servall Mechanics at the number you provided, including service reminders, coupons and discounts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you must be 18 or older.
We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are used only for our own messages to you, and are shared with our messaging provider solely to deliver them.
Cookies
This site doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies of its own. The embedded Google map may set cookies when it loads; that's governed by Google's privacy policy. Your browser settings control cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep service records for as long as we need them to support your warranty and to satisfy California record-keeping requirements for repair facilities, and then we dispose of them. Form submissions that never turn into a job are cleared out periodically.
Your rights in California
If you live in California, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, to correct it, and to confirm we have not sold or shared it. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past twelve months. Exercising any of these rights won't get you worse service or a different price.

Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
