What we collect through this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Last updated October 23, 2026
In plain English. We collect what you type into our forms so we can call you back about your vehicle. We don't sell it. We use Meta's advertising pixel and Google's advertising tag to see which of our Facebook, Instagram and Google ads bring people in, and you can turn them off. You can ask us to delete what we hold.
Who we are
Servall Mechanics LLC, 529 McHenry Ave #A, Modesto, CA 95354. Phone (209) 567-2330, email [email protected].
What we collect
- What you send us through a form: your name, phone number, email address, business name if you give one, the vehicle or equipment, mileage or hours, what it's doing, and when you'd like to come in.
- Whether you ticked the text message box.
- Basic technical information your browser sends to our host when it loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is standard server logging.
- How you use this site, through the Meta pixel: the pages you visit, the buttons you click, whether you sent a request, and your device, browser and IP address. When you fill in one of our forms, the pixel can also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and phone number so Meta can tell whether you saw one of our ads. See Advertising, the Meta pixel and the Google tag below.
- How you use this site, through the Google tag: the pages you visit, whether you sent a request, and your device, browser and IP address. If you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, the address carries a Google click ID; we keep it in your browser for up to 90 days and send it with any request you make, so we can tell Google which ads led to a booked appointment.
We don't ask for a Social Security number, a driver's licence number or payment card details through this website, and you shouldn't send them to us by email.
Why we collect it
To call you back, to schedule your appointment, to diagnose and repair your vehicle, to keep a service history, to meet our record-keeping obligations as a California repair facility, and, if you opted in, to send you service reminders and offers.
Who it goes to
We don't sell your personal information. Apart from the Meta pixel and the Google tag described below, it reaches our service providers only to the extent they need it to work for us:
- Web3Forms processes our form submissions and delivers them to our inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this website.
- Google serves the map embedded on our location section, and may set cookies when that map loads.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) receives the website activity described above through the Meta pixel, to measure and improve our ads.
- Google receives the website activity described above through the Google tag, and the Google click ID of customers who book with us, to measure and improve our Google ads.
- Our email provider, and the shop software we use to write estimates and invoices.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
Text messages
If you tick the consent box, you agree to receive marketing texts from Servall Mechanics at the number you provided, including service reminders, coupons and discounts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you must be 18 or older.
We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are used only for our own messages to you, and are shared with our messaging provider solely to deliver them.
Advertising, the Meta pixel and the Google tag
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. This site uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, so we can tell which ads lead to a request and show our ads to people more likely to need a repair shop in Modesto. Meta may also use this information under its own privacy policy, including to show you ads from other businesses.
We also advertise on Google. This site uses the Google tag, a small piece of code from Google, so we can tell which Google ads lead to a request or a booked appointment. Google may use this information under its own privacy policy.
Under California law, letting Meta or Google use this information for ads may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can stop it any of these ways:
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. When this site sees that signal, neither the Meta pixel nor the Google tag loads.
- Call or email us and ask us to stop sharing your information for advertising.
- In your Meta account, open Ad preferences, or disconnect “Your activity off Meta technologies” in Accounts Center.
- In your Google account, turn off personalized ads at My Ad Center.
- Use the opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info, or block third-party cookies in your browser.
Our site does not respond to the older “Do Not Track” browser setting, which has no agreed standard. It does respond to Global Privacy Control, as described above.
Cookies
The Meta pixel sets cookies (named _fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from one of our ads) so Meta can connect your visit to an ad. The Google tag sets cookies (such as _gcl_au, and _gcl_aw when you arrive from one of our Google ads) for the same purpose, and the Google click ID is kept in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. The embedded Google map may also set cookies when it loads; that's governed by Google's privacy policy. We don't set any other advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser settings control cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep service records for as long as we need them to support your warranty and to satisfy California record-keeping requirements for repair facilities, and then we dispose of them. Form submissions that never turn into a job are cleared out periodically.
Your rights in California
If you live in California, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, to correct it, and and to opt out of having it shared for advertising. We have not sold personal information in the past twelve months. From October 23, 2026, we share website activity with Meta through the Meta pixel, and with Google through the Google tag, as described above, and you can opt out of that at any time. Exercising any of these rights won't get you worse service or a different price.
To make a request, call (209) 567-2330 or email [email protected]. We may need to verify who you are before we act, usually by matching the details against an existing record.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
